Volunteers are needed to take donations, sell art, buttons, CD’s, koozies, raffle tickets
& t-shirts. at the following venues:
Wed.Nov. 7, 6 – 9 pm, Art & Music six (6) people to cover the three doors downstairs at the New Orleans Healing Center, 2372 St. Claude, free off Street parking lot on Ramparts and Spain.
Wed. 7 – 10 pm three or four (3 or 4) people Art, Music & Poetry Open House,1501 St. Roch (btwn N. Robertson & N. Claiborne). On street parking only, so go early enough to park close by.
Thurs., Fri & Sat. Nov. 8 – 10, 9am – 9pm, Healing Center. Continuing Art Show – appprox thirty-six (36) people daily (2 people, 2 hrs each, three doors to cover). (if people can do 3 hrs shifts it’s better.)
Sat. Nov 10, 10 am – 4 pm, Healing Center Health Fair and Seminars Six (6) additional people needed to steer folks to Health Fair at the Big Blue Bus in parking lot in the back, Seminars on the 2nd floor, Rm# 254 & 256.
Thurs., Nov. 8, 7 – 11 Maison, Music with Mary Flynn & Irene Sage, et al, 508 Frenchman, Eight (8) people needed for 2 hr shifts or Four (4) can stay for the evening.
Fri., Nov 9, 7 – Midnight, Art, Poetry & Music, Buffa’s Bar & Restaurant, 1001 Esplanade, Eight (8) people needed for 2 hr shifts, fewer if they stay longer.
Fri., Nov 9, 7 – Midnight, Music, (location unknown, it was to be at Sweet Lorraine’s, but the roof was damaged by Isaac and fell in) with Patrice Fisher, Judy Spellman, Ruby Moon et al, Eight (8)
Sun. Nov 11, 9am - Midnight Last day of Art Show approx 24 people for Art show(ends at 6 pm), plus LadyFest Film Fest (2 pm to 5:40pm four (4) Cafe Istanbul, with Music from 6 pm to Midnight) eight (8).
The healing center is the most important because the art has to be protected, sold not stole.
